fun learning activity

Blogging is a fun learning activity. Aside from it’s a social networking site, it is also a medium of learning from other different articles of different views, some used to  motivate especially when you really want to persuade the readers, sharing experiences- the joy, the laughter, the hardships of making a blog. Some used to evaluate certain places, activities and many more. I would say, blogging is an enjoying thing to do, but at first I find it hard to adapt to the world of writing in which I will share my ideas responsibly. I will never forgot that as a blogger, I have the privilege of sharing my thoughts responsibly so, in every word that I am going to blog, I should think before I click (gma news tv).

As a communication student, I should respect my co-blog mates. For they are like me who are willing and interested to share the learning experiences, thoughts, different angle of music, art, culture and many more. I will continue doing blogs as long as I can. For it will help me to be a good communicator.

Piqued Skills

Indubitably, learning and discovering are part of our daily lives. Learning something new or different might be a challenge to us, pooling our efforts to wrap things up flawlessly and perfectly as much as possible. I’m not saying that things must be done without imperfections, because there’s a tendency of trial and error while doing those things. Just like working on a blog and maintaining a blogsite. Indeed, I’ve got used to writing since I was into writing way back to high school days but writing an article for blog is on the next level. It involves the publicity of your works, open to scrutinizing and critiquing of diverse and heterogeneous people from different cultures all over the globe. It worries me since I’m a private person. My stories, journals, short stories and other works are kept in my cabinet. I don’t want anybody else to scour for them. Moreover, writing for a blog includes step-by-step procedures that would pique your skills in intellectual, emotional, physical and social aspects. Let me discuss these points.
The most arduous part of writing is identifying the topic or the overall concept of the blog. There were many things our group considered including the interests of each members of the group, the significance of the topic, how recent the topic is, and the sufficiency of resources for it. It’s exhausting since we had incongruence of views and opinions. Authoritativeness existed among us yet submissiveness won the game. Finally, we had come up to our overall theme – Music, Arts and Culture. We had chosen it since it’s a “safe “topic, almost encompassing our interests. Who will not appreciate music, arts and culture anyway? I, not so creative, do have a passion in music so I had no problem about the topic.
The next step is immersion. Indeed, in order for you to understand the topic, experience is a must. Gathering data and information from the primary and secondary sources caused affliction to us apart from the money and energy we spent for it. However, those efforts were worth it because it’s fun and unforgettable experience, bonding with my friends and dealing with other people with different personalities.
Writing. Sounds easy, doesn’t it? However, I myself found it too critical and analytical. Why is it so? The novelty lead and the conclusion must be “big bang.” Meaning, it should be interesting enough to attract readers to read the article from the first to last. You should also know how to organize your ideas, articulating the purpose and style with the proper use of transitional devices, words and right grammar. The entire article must have unity, coherence and emphasis. Without these characteristics, the work’s just a CRAP! As I wrote my articles for various entries, I found myself despondent, but I viewed it as training – training for my future at the workplace.
At last, posting the articles for the blogsite was not that difficult. Our group’s cooperation was truly visible. The articles of each member must be sent to my e-mail address for editing. Photos, videos and other files were included. I was responsible for grammar, proper usage of words and other concerns in writing. My group mate was responsible for layout designing and the like. Of course, misunderstandings among us were inevitable especially in terms of the schedule of the submission and posting of the articles. I almost slept late at night, wrapping up those editing activities. But when I worked on it, I had become bitter, knowing that my group mates were asleep during that time. I shifted my mind on other things to get off this on my mind.
To sum it up, working on various things requires skills not only intellectually, but also emotionally as well. Meaning, EQ is also important apart from IQ. You are dealing with other people which are unique and have different personalities, beliefs and values.

Working with my busy schedules, deadline of paper works and other requirements needed in school, conceptualizing blog content is a hard time for me. Every entry that we pass have different theme consisting the lay-out, features and effects that might contribute to make the blog interesting and catchy to the followers.
I am not good in technical aspects of doing blog that why, one of our group mate’s acts as a leader in that matter. At first, the blog became quite easy for me because all I need to do is to pass the article assigned to me. Later on, when I saw that there are people commenting and giving their opinion on how ways to improve our blog, a little bit of pressure pushes me to do a great job and motivate my skills on my article. I also learned to create a blog.
I always came at home late because of the videos, interviews and photos we need to finish. Some of my group mates stay on our house to take the overnight and able to work hard for the blog. We go to different setting to captured the environment that will complement to our article. Opportunity to help to other people and experiencing the work we had is amazing lessons for me and I truly appreciate it.
Blog is a part of my life that gives great experience working with my group mates. And it’s worth it because the product still exists and it would be a memory for me.
The significant values of the Blog creates venue for me to share my knowledge to others, the point of interaction and difference!

N.U.D.E. (NOT UR DAILY EVIL): THE APPRECIATION OF NUDE ART

To start off, I’ll ask you all one question? Have you ever seen a nude person? Your mother while taking a bath with when you’re a kid? Your kid sibling changing clothes? Or probably that scandalous photo and video collection written on your friend’s memory card on his cellular phone? For sure, one thing about the term nude is, it’s really not that of an appropriate state. Somewhat a disadvantage for this term because in the first place, it’s the bodies. You have one. I have one. It’s just the blinding lust that makes everyone go crazy when someone goes nude. Particularly when a dude accidentally sees a girl naked to change her clothes. With these perceptions in mind, it’s going to be be everyone’s daily evil. Check this one out for instance:

Made by: Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres Source: http://www.arts-wallpapers.com/nude_art/
When you’re an ordinary person, you’d think it’s taboo. When you’re a person with high libido levels, you’ll stand up. You know what I mean. But being appreciative, this is art. This is what you’d expect from the woman and that’s the beauty of it. It’s God’s creation to be appreciated. Like the Bible says, we are after all created in God’s image. I’m not saying that God looks like this painting but since what Jean created here is a human being created by God, you’d appreciate its beauty, nude or dressed.
Another thing, there is a difference between Nude Art and Pornography. Pornography is the explicit portrayal of sexual subject matter for the purposes of sexual arousal and erotic satisfaction while Nude Art is a work of art that takes naked human form as its dominant subject. So in conclusion, people with increased libidos can never be fully satisfied with nude art. They’ll just whack off with those 30 peso DVD’s with X-Rated Scandals they like dabbling into. Only the appreciative without the lustful eyes can trully appreciate what’s nude art and what’s behind it literally.

To PLANK or TO PLUNK?

As I’m thinking for my article to our third entry in which talks about ARTS, it suddenly hits my head… the term “PLANKING”. Supposedly, I’ve already got ideas and information related to this and even new sort of it, the do’s and don’ts or as well as the evolution of it as it takes stand to the Art industry. But then, when one of my classmates asked me of what's our topic all about ...and then, she told some interesting thing about it that leads me to divert my attention into some argumentative piece.

ART is an innovative thing. It deals with our innate creativity and even tells a history…a culture. Art is anything you can get away with. It’s a creative skill, a communication tool to express one’s self and an explorer of the world’s darkest and biggest secrets. And by that, I figure out without hesitation, that the hottest trend in FB and other OSN (Online Social Networking), the PLANKING is an art indeed! ART is a visual thing, a form of music, or a form of performance and obviously, PLANKING belongs to latter. But do we know where it starts? How does it popularized? What’s the real score of it?

PLANKING is not just a piece of leaf blooms in a certain plant by means of grafting. It has deeper means. It was mainly rooted on the history of African-American slavery, or what they called it as “Middle Passage”. During this period, Africans were sold as slave. Of course, during those dreadful years, we already knew the process, and sufferings of the black men. They were sold and trade in different counts. They were estimated at 5 million to 30 million people placed in a slave ship and take a long voyage from 6 to 8 months. The Africans were tie up and oblige to go below the deck wherein there’s only a much contracted space for them. For that, they were lie down here inversely, eat there, sleep, gave birth, starved and even died without knowing where they will go. Good thing, historians got a very crucial evident to the history as what stated in an account of Mr. Falconbridge during that horrific scene.

Moreover, this so-called slavery act transformed into a kind of body art. From earthworks, installations and conceptual arts, Mr. Dennis Oppenheim break a leg into another dimension of art, the body art. He coined the term after he studied the “Earth and Land art” and pursue it in his performance during 1970, the Parallel Stress. He says that this kind of outdoor art demands to be revealed since it was not done before and by this simple piece, emerged into famous and popularized performance until it was given back to life on the late 2000’s in Europe and to present all around the world.

On its overriding demand in various medium, some people divert it from a simple pastime into a form of having their grievances to our current administration and now, the Government wants to ban this by pursuing an Anti-Planking Bill.

The bottom of this article is mainly about on its censorship. Honestly, I don’t even care about it for as long it was a kind of art, of expressing funny figure, and a type of having one’s attention…or whatever! What matter most, for me, is that, this kind of art makes a step in popularizing the essence of evolving figure of ARTS. But in some point, it makes me so baffled for this kind of free will and RIGHTS has been concealed in the coming future. A kind of right? YES! Seemingly, it is one of the most peaceful ways of adhering one’s free will on acting of his grievances. It’s far diverging on Marcos regime wherein people take their grievances by means of noise barrage. Also, it was abridging the Art.3, Sec.4

For me, this kind of ART is really crucial in the history of itself. It takes a lot of stories. It’s not just a prank thing to do or an absurdity but taking a great courage to do it. Personally, as I look those pictures of people doing this, and typing that information I’ve read, I take a stand on which PRO to this. Now, I look it much significant. It commemorates to the suffering of those millions of slaves and instead of mocking, I’ll do it for it’s a symbol of bravery and determination to live in this tremendous world of reality without the enforcement of  banality”.

Woman's Style for Perfection

Symbol of a woman's strength

According to style maven Elsa Klensch, "Style commands attention and respect, even a woman is not beautiful. A stylish woman can go anywhere and achieve everything." As the saying implies, personal style and how you dress up are important. Dressing up is an expression, reflecting one’s lifestyle, personality, physicality and of course, individuality. When it comes to fashion style, there are “fashion do’s and don’ts” that guide us but personal style is a matter of choice that allows every woman to dress freely.

Before dressing up, however, you must determine your personal style. All of us might be beautiful but there lies imperfections. Indeed, we can improve ourselves without spending a lot. All you have to do is know what to portray or project and choose clothes that would hide your imperfections. In this article, I’m going to give you tips on how to dress up, hiding your imperfections.

If you are a plus-size woman, pick out dark-colored clothes because they have slimming effect, making you look leaner and thinner. Try to wear also V-neck tops, cropped jackets, pencil-cut skirts, straight-cut dark denims and wide-legged slacks. Shun wearing oversized dresses, dresses with bold prints, baggy clothes, and thick- waist clinching belt dresses, billowy skirts, sweatpants and low-waist skinny jeans.

If you want to look curvier, choose wide-legged or straight cut pants. Wear also clothes in nude hues like light pink, beige, mocha and caramel. Avoid wearing printed (floral) blouses and dresses and horizontal-striped tops, buttocks-hugging pants and too many accessories.

If you’re a petite woman (like me), wear blouses that are short to medium-length and tops with vertical stripes. Doing so will make you look longer and leaner. Do not wear long jackets, Capri pants, and tailored clothes, straight and tapered pants, frills, long-sleeved tops, oversized t-shirts and baggy clothes. They will only make you look smaller.

If you’re a mature woman, longing to look younger and free, dare to experiment with colors and fabric subtly. Don’t go overboard. The basic rule is not to wear minis and if you can’t resist, the skirt must be below the knees. Indeed, knee is now the signifier of the age of a woman aside from the neck.

Want to portray a powerful look? Wear your versatile high heels, showing your feminine power and pick out structured clothes with a soft and light-colored blouse.

Follow these tips and see the difference. Surely, you will be oozing with confidence, ready to face challenges in life with fashion and style.

Life Versus Existence

The context of the work of Arthur Schopenhauer states that fine arts work at the bottom towards the solution of the problem of existence. To be able to understand the true nature of things, of life and existence, we must first ask the question "what is life?"

Can we say that every art answers the question in a way it presents and the language it used? Or must we say that art is the product of human perception and its language is only a reflection?

In every perception, every work of art answers the questions, in every scene, in every statue, every poem; art answers it.

We don't know the inner nature of all life and existence, but because of art, expression exists. Things might be temporary and thus through art, reflection shall be permanent.

The works of poets, sculptors, and many artists contain knowledge and wisdom that should be acknowledged and treasured because out of them is the reflection of the wisdom of the nature of things, the existence and definitely the LIFE!

Wisdom is light; therefore to be able to comprehend, an artist must know his capacity and embrace the culture of others.

Through reading poem or simply looking at the picture, it resembles that we are the miner who buried the conscious experiences of every artist, thus knowledge is being understood.

I love the way that artist leave something for the reader to think and conclude; for Voltaire, the surest way to be a bore is to leave something unsaid.

I say that life has no definite explanation; the existence of art would be your life, Therefore, Get involved. Be bold. Live with your passion!

In parties or in any occasion, you can usually see women with their glamorous dresses and decorative nails that will surely catch your attention- NAIL ART that’s it! These are the nails that seems to be the trend of our society. Thus, it reflects one’s style and personality.

Let’s see how it started..

According to research, it has existed in India who embellished their nails with henna. Usually, henna is used in tattooing. And in 1932 Revion whish is a French business, launched it to begin with nail polish. It was offered to begin with nail polish. It was offered a cuticle selection of shades and employed pigments in its place of dyes.

Actually, there are a lot of nail art strategies. Some are applying decals, stickers, gems, glitters and flower onto their nails. This is considered as a swift design that does not have a large amount of time. In just a minute, your nails will have decorative designs. This is also an easy thing to do because you will only adhere these onto your nails and you don’t have to go to your preferred salon just for this. While others use acrylic or gel nails to enhance designs. It can last approximately for three weeks.  And others use a free-hand method by the use of sharp brushes or by using a stencil, a brand new digitalized system. If you want to have a long term nail art, nail art technicians used single needle tattoo device that will last up until it can be cliffed off.
